READY TO GO

- BEFORE YOU GO
- SUITCASES
- PACKING CLOTHES - Pack light, breathable clothing. The Florida heat can be oppressive. Pack one swimsuit for lounging at the pool and another for participating in water sports. Stick to casual clothing, such as shorts, tank tops, Capris and T-shirts. Pack one "nice" outfit for going out. Florida is a laid-back state, and you don't have to dress to the nines to visit most clubs or restaurants, especially in popular tourist destinations. Avoid jeans, pants and any clothing that needs to be dry cleaned. Avoid leather, silk and any materials that can be ruined by salt water. Pack flip-flops, a pair of casual walking shoes and two pairs of socks. If you're planning a boat trip, pack a pair of nonskid boat shoes. Pack sunglasses and a hat to protect your scalp and face.
