Day 157 – December 27

Today we did some cleaning before e left home and hit the road.

My mom cleaned the windows and took down the luxaflex.

Hetty took care of the utility room, that is where the washing machine and dryer are, and cleaned it all.

utility room

Granddad Bram cleaned all the carseats, high chair and potty.

Once we were all done it was pool time. The sun worked well, it still feels so warm and at the same time we took notice of the weather back home, SNOW.

Day 154 – December 24

What better then to start the day with a dip into the pool. It is o so good here, enjoy the moment, next week we are back into the cold!

pool

And how about some coffee outside, fabulous! See them enjoy it!

But after relaxing for a bit it is time to get some work done, hihi, no holidays here.

So one granny worked the bed and made look like brand new again.

And of course granddad helps out, the weather and temperature are still good, maybe is does not look like that but it certainly does.

And the other granny did some painting.

At the end of the day we took off for Celebration. We were invited to chapel and attend the worship held at Celebration High. There was suppose to be some hot chocolate and a picture was to be taken.

After church we went to Steak ‘n shake for a delicious burger and fries and of course the famous milkshakes.

Day 152 – December 22

Camy did not feel too good today, probably tired of the last couple of days and all the impressions and saying good bye to all of her friends at school. So being friends with the couch feels just fine.

saying good bye

Camy on the couch and the five of us enjoying another perfect breakfast under the sun.

After breakfast it was time to take a dip into the heated pool, we turned on the heater because that is what you need those days even though the weather is still good.

After some time in the pool it was time to clean up all of Camy’s schoolbooks and notebooks, so that is just what she did with her pops.

At the same time Bram was treated with Reiki by his mother.

Pleasure Island is where we went in the afternoon.

But since Camy was still not in perfect shape we did not stay too long and went home early. But not before we got ourselves a sandwich at Sandwich of Earl. We took them home and that is where we enjoyed them along with some soup we made. Best sandwiches ever!

We also took a picture of the entire family at the entrance / exit of Pleasure Island.

Day 43 – September 4

Today we had an appointment with a screen repair company, they will replace all the screens around the pool. We showed you before how some of the screening was molested by the weather and everything had to be renewed. The guys wanted to start at 08.30AM, so one had to stay home and meet them.

Day43-01

So Bram and Camy took off for school by the two of them.
When they left at 07.00AM, I was all by myself which was a little strange and odd. But after having my breakfast I took a little walk through Sandy Ridge, it was nice and quiet and of course the sun rose for another beautiful day.

Day43-02This is the entrance of Sandy Ridge.

Day43-03

This is me, good morning!

Day43-04 Day43-05

And here a little inside look of what Sandy Ridge looks like.

Day43-06 Day43-07 Day43-08

I walked home again, so I was able to meet the working crew.
Lets start and have a nice new and enclosed pool again!

I do also want to show you the latest things we bought from Goodwills and decorated Camy’s room with.

Day43-09 A cover, 2 pink pillows and a rectangular pillow. Looks good, or not?!

Day 42 – September 3

While having a cup of coffee and Tee we studied the map of the Orlando area because of the fact that we do not want to shop the entire week. There is so much more to do in Florida that we want to explore, like visiting The Art Museum. By the way, Camy’s school is where the arrow is pointed at.

Day42-01

Day42-02

After finishing our drinks we drove to a Goodwill store.

I bought this chair for one of our bedrooms.
There were other items I saw and really liked but not to decorate the home with or take all the way with me to Holland.

Day42-03 Day42-04 Day42-05

The light of the pool also had to be changed, so when we got home Bram had to take care of this. Since he had to stay under water I had to help him by putting my hands on his head and push him under. So in the end it was the both of us who took care of the light, hihi. We are at least we able to swim again at night.

Day42-06 Day42-07

Day 35 – August 27

On the way to school we saw those 3 air balloons up in the air.
One went right over our heads on the Interstate.

Day35-01

While at school we found ourselves a seat again en went through our mail and all that, enjoying the sun at the same time.

Day35-02

We had our Mc Donalds salad for lunch at the park, what a wonderful place. No noise, all quiet, just some birds whistling.

Day35-03

When we came home Camy checked the mailbox, unfortunately no mail today. But we do have some mail so we leave that in the mailbox in stead because that’s how we do it here in The US of A. Just put your mail in the mailbox, put the red flag up so they can see mail is to be taken out of the box. Just perfect!

Day35-04

We had an appointment with a pool repair company because we thought we had a leak. Water does evaporate we know but it is just a little too much in our opinion. So the guy takes out his wet suit, gets into the pool  and tries to find the problem, he of course knows what and where to look for. So he checks the lights, the drain and the skimmer first with some blue dye tester and within minutes finds the problem. We’ve got a pool leak and as quickly he found it he repaired it as well. He just sealed the leak with a two-part epoxy adhesives.

Day35-05 Day35-06 Day35-07

Once all done and having our dinner it was time for my DIY project. Lets see wether or not a necklace can be made.

Day35-08

Day 30 – August 22

Today is Friday, the day we worship with all of St. Lukes students at the Chapel. They use large screens so everybody is able to read all the lyrics and sing along. Also do they use it for the speeches given and prayers, high-tec church and up to date.

Day30-01After church we made one more stop at Home Depot, just to have one more look at what kind of flooring we really want.
Is it that hard to make your choice 🙂

Outside near the exit there is a hot dog booth which smells real good and since it is almost lunch time we decide to order a hot dog each.

Day30-02 Day30-03 Day30-04

And when there is some time left …. it is time to relax.
You take a salad, a good book and find the right spot in the park for a couple of hours.

Day30-05

Surrounded by the white Ibis, a curious bird who is not afraid and comes by real close, see whether or not there is some food left.

Day30-06

Last night it rained cats and dogs with a lots of wind even taking parts of the cage out. Since we always leave the house early we only saw what happened when we came home again. With this happening we have got another project to take care of, getting the cage repaired. Now that one part has disappeared, leaving a big gap for all insects, bugs, lizard to “enter” the pool, we need to get this fixed because we are not looking for these kind of visitors.

Day30-07

Day 25 – August 17

What a beautiful day today.
Actually all days are wonderful around here.
But today is cloud free and that just makes it so much better.

This also makes it possible for the local church to have these fabulous words written in air. It takes a little while before you can see what is says but after some 30 minutes the aircraft is done with the inspiring words .

Day25-01

Day25-02

We also had some time left to enjoy the sun and horseplay around.

Day25-04This afternoon we will be traveling to Tampa to see the game between Tampa and Yankees for which we bought tickets the other day. However, on the way to Tampa we first had to go through this rain.

Day25-05 Day25-06

The New York Yankees eventually won the game but best thing was we got to see Derek Jeter play before he retires at the end of this season.

Day25-07 Day25-08 Day25-09 Day25-10 Day25-11 Day25-12

Day 14 – August 6

First things first, so we take a dip into the pool!
And after that it was time for ourselves, chilling and relaxing,
this is our last week off before school starts.
And we all know when it is that time of year, running around like crazy!

Day14-01We also got company today, a nice looking bird.
Since I did not know what its name was, I looked it up and I came up with a egret.
Atleast, to me, that is what it looked like, someone else has a better idea?
