Day 77 – October 8

Today we went to Sanford, about a 45 minute drive from school. We first visited the harbor and the beautiful view of Lake Monroe. No wind, no people, just us and a couple of birds. We found it very nice around here.

day77-03

We walked around and saw some awesome sailing boats, The water had no waves and was blue, you can not really see it on the pics but in real life it was beautiful. And to see the water as a mirror for those boats was lovely as well.

day77-04

We walked the pier with palm trees and some fishermen trying to catch some.

And of course taken our time in this mega rocking chair.

day77-08

After that it was time to take a little nap.

day77-16Just kidding, we were waiting for the vessel to take off with all 55+ on board. It was good to see them depart, with a blow of the horn and full throttle forwards.

day77-09

See there she goes.

day77-10

An while we were watching the vessel, we saw a manatee swim by. We could not take a picture since they are under water for 99%. You can only see them when they need to get some oxygen. And even than you do not get to see the entire mammal.

day77-11

On the side we saw all these shells, birds picked them up from the water and put them on the side only to eat them later.

day77-12

And how about this noisy airboat!

day77-13

After spending time in and around the harbor we stopped at Goodwill in downtown Sanford.
I bought this coat rack, shorts, mirror and book. Only $9.00 in total, what a bargain!

day77-15 day77-14

On Wednesdays we normally have dinner at church but not today, today we decided to go Cracker Barrel and have dinner here. Old fashioned meals. I had sweet potatoes, sweet apple and ham, Bram had 3kinds of meat, corn and fries. Camy had an old fashioned burger.
