Today was grandparents day at school which means all grandpa’s and grandma’s were invited to school and were allowed to walk around school property and see what their grandchildren do the entire day.
And when grandparents do not live nearby you can of course bring your parents. At 8.30AM everybody was expected to be in chapel and let me tell you it was crowded. We received all information we needed to enjoy the day, actually morning.
A little later all students also entered the church but since all seats were taken they had stand along the walls. We sang together and watched the choir. When all was done the students went back to their homerooms to have chapel from there. There was a live connection between classes and church.
At 9.30AM we were allowed to get the students from their homerooms and start a wonderful day! We first went to the gym, they had set up an art show here. All students had worked on something when they had Art Class and now you were able to buy it and sponsor church for $25.00.
After that we went to the play ground outside, they had set that up as a “fancy fair” with all different things that you were able to do.
You could dance!
Or just sit and relax in the shade!
Or eat some home made sweets!
Once back in the school building we played some bingo in the cafeteria.
There were air cushions and sports games for everyone!
And of course friends were there as well, this is Angelina.
We ended the day with pizza, I think they ordered some 50 boxes with pizza.
Everybody enjoyed their slice of pizza, what a great day! Also because of the fabulous weather which always makes these days even greater!
