Day 132 – December 2

Yesterday we set curles for Camy’s hair and this morning we took it out. Most curles were already out of her hair by the time we arrived at school however, too bad.

After we dropped Camy off at school we took off to Florida Hospital to pick up my file. I want to take this home so we can take it to the hospital back home and all doctors are able to exactly read and see what happened to me. Since we needed to wait a while before they had everything available it was coffee time first.

And at the same time we had some lunch in the vegetarian restaurant as well.

After about 90 minutes we were able to collect the file. The file was made up by all paperwork and a CD of MRI and CAT scan pictures.

We also received another card today, thanks again!

Since Camy has an advent tomorrow I already did her hair today.

Day 131 – December 1

It is Monday again, we are ready for it. We are having two more weeks of school before it is time for the holidays!

Since it is almost Christmas they set up a school store where kids are able to buy cheap presents. They have inform school what their budget is and for whom they want to buy presents. This way they make them learn how to handle money and spent it, this is for all grades. We are curious what Camy will pick for us.

This is a piece of art that all chapel buddies in the same family made. Camy’s family has 8 students in it and they made this, while at school.

Now it is time for a cup of coffee and some sun at McDonalds.

Camy’s latest vlog is online as well. She vlogs about the road we always take to school and what she sees on the way, it is about an one-hour drive (one way).

At school they started selling Christmas trees as well, $80.00 is what one tree will cost but you do support your charity.

We received some more cards today, thank you very much. It never gets old receiving those nice cards!

Day 130 – November 30

Today we drove around and visited a market we have wanted to visit for quite some time now but never had the opportunity to do so. It seemed like a fun place but since we always drove by fast we actually did not know. Today we will stop by and find out.

It was a market where they also sold animals and it looked more like a market in Africa, how much “trash” can you sell.

Can you tell how much fun they are having, they just love it here, NOT!

All in all it was not much and certainly not what we expected, half of all the stands were closed and all the stand that were open had nothing but trash.

Afterwards we headed towards the golfclucb of Kissimmee. The golf club is located right besides a small airport, Kissimmee Airport. About every 30 minutes a plane took off or landed, all in the private plane variety.

Camy wanted to drive the golf cart, so we explained how to and since she is a quick learner she took over the wheel.

Oh, how good is life when there is a little sun every single day.

On th parking lot there were some cranes picking seeds, we counted 12, never seen this many hanging out togheter.

When we got home again there was still a little sun so we enjoyed that by sitting outside and having a cup of tea and a peanutbutter snickers bar with that.

Later that evening Camy and I started to decorate the Christmas tree, the lights are in it already. Maybe a little early but everybody is getting ready for the holiday season, and you know the do not celebrate December 5th like we do. So we can enjoy it for a month long.

Day 129 – November 29

Since Camy has a couple of days off from school because of Thanksgiving weekend we decided to do something. We bought tickets to Disney Quest. We have never been here before, we have seen it a million times since it is located at Downtown Disney (now: Disney Springs).

It is a five-storied building.

It has a different game theme at every floor. On this floor you can find computer games, arcade games, new and vintage like Donkey Kong and PacMan, isn’t that cool. This is Camy and me playing a dancing game.

After we played games for some hours we needed some fresh air and since Disney Quest is within Pleasure Island there is more than enough to do outside. We walked towards the new side, this used to be grass with different seats, now they have different kind of busses parked here selling food. After having a bite to eat we went back to Disney Quest.

At about 06.00PM we started feeling hungry again so we decided to get a sandwich at Earls, about a 20 minute walk on the other side of Pleasure Island, with another 1.000 people. It was oh so crowded today, this is just one of the better attractions.

At Sandwich Earl we got in line, which was all the way outside, we have never seen anything like it. It took about 45 minutes before we were able to order but more than not all worth it.

We had our favorite sandwich, tuna melt and Hawaii bbq. Camy had a banana wallnut muffin.

Day 128 – November 28

Yesterday we made some wooden letters in Carole’s shed and today we sand papered and painted them.

We also painted the picture frames we bought the other day at a Thrift store.

Later in the afternoon we drove around a little and visited an outlet. And had some fun at a western store at the Artegon Marketplace, they had those boots and heads for sale here

Day 127 – November 27

Today is Thanksgiving and we have been invited by Jack and Carole. Since we borrowed a drill from Carole last week we drilled some holes before we left. Now we can hang the new curtains and take the drill back to Carole.

At 11.30AM we headed towards Jack and Carole to celebrate Thanksgiving, we said we would be there at about noon. Carole had already started dinner and she had the table set as well.

The turkey was put into the oven, so the entire house smelled like it, delicious.

We also enjoyed the sun today, the weather was real good to sit out.

At the end of the afternoon we got into our DIY and in one of the sheds of Carole we let it all out. We took the electric saw and we made some letters out of wood.

Day 126 – November 26

We toured some through Orlando today when we ran into this Thrift Store. A small Thrift Store, but man o man, they got more than a super large one.

thrift store The place was totally packed, there was no space available, every little bit of room had something, clothing, books, you just name it and it was there…some where.

Tables filled with everything you can name, packed and packed, you could really tell where something would be if you were looking for it, not?! But nonetheless it was just superb to go through it all.

We had dinner at Bob Evans, a restaurant we had never visited before. We had some potatoes, salad and steak. And for desert we had some ice-cream.

Day 125 – November 25

Camy has made some real fine friends in school, right now she hangs around with Audrey. And of course a picture had to be taken of the two of them because they both happen to wear the same uniform today.

When school was out we headed for The Mall at Millenia where they had decorated this huge Christmas tree, with I do not know how many lights in it, fabulous!

We walked around for some time, peeking into some high end brands. This is where all the top brand names are but some affordable stores like, Macy and Dillard as well

We had something to eat at the foodcourt and went home afterwards.

We are ready for a mini holiday. Camy has a couple of days off because it is Thanksgiving weekend, isn’t that fantastic! Now alarm clocks and sleep a little longer, we can sure handle that!

Day 124 – November 24

We did not do any grocery shopping this weekend because we had a lazy weekend. Because of this we also ran out of breakfast and treated ourselves for an IHOP. We shared a French toast with strawberries, banana and whipped cream as well as bacon and eggs.

We have seen different places that sell Christmas trees already so today we stopped and walked in, just to see and smell them. It felt a little strange since it just does not feel like Christmas at all. We still walk around in our shorts and that just does not match the feeling of Christmas.
