Day 40 – September 1

Good morning everybody!
Breakfast is ready, well… push the button and you will get your pancake.
Just the perfect way to get your pancake made within 2 minutes.

Day40-01

We will be visiting Marlins Park today, home of the Miami Marlins.
New York Mets vs Miami Marlins. Another awesome stadium and much better than the old New Miami Stadium (or Joe Robbie or Dolphin Stadium when you want call it by that name) they used to play in.
Wonderful to see all these people, entertainment and your favorite pastime and food…. lots of it.
Miami came up on top and won 9-6 with a blast from Stanton.
Good game and another stadium to cross off from the list.

Day 37 – August 29

It is Friday again, time for Chapel. We also participated in the worship this morning, which is attended by all students during their first period.
And like we told you before, parents are more than welcome too.

Day37-01

Also at school today were some Cranes. Real nice, tall birds, this is only about 6 feet from them. Normally a bird would have taken off but not these.

Day37-02 Day37-03

When school was over today and the weekend had started we took off for Miami right away. Too bad it rained, but you can not have it all. It is Labor Day weekend so there will be no school on monday and we decided to take advantage of that by taking a little holiday and go see Miami. South Beach, Miami Marlins and shopping is on the to do list.

Day37-04

But first, we will spend the night at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel.

Day37-05

Later that night we ran into the Duck family. How cute, mother and 7 babies in the middle of parking lot.

Day37-06

Day 25 – August 17

What a beautiful day today.
Actually all days are wonderful around here.
But today is cloud free and that just makes it so much better.

This also makes it possible for the local church to have these fabulous words written in air. It takes a little while before you can see what is says but after some 30 minutes the aircraft is done with the inspiring words .

Day25-01

Day25-02

We also had some time left to enjoy the sun and horseplay around.

Day25-04This afternoon we will be traveling to Tampa to see the game between Tampa and Yankees for which we bought tickets the other day. However, on the way to Tampa we first had to go through this rain.

Day25-05 Day25-06

The New York Yankees eventually won the game but best thing was we got to see Derek Jeter play before he retires at the end of this season.

Day25-07 Day25-08 Day25-09 Day25-10 Day25-11 Day25-12

Day 22 – August 14

Today we started the day by ordering tickets for a baseball game in Tampa. Tampa Bay vs New York Yankees, Bram is soo happy and can not wait for game day!

Day22-01

We also ran in to this mail delivery car, cute isn’t it?
Who does not remember the cartoon Peter Post, so funny, that is what this reminded me of.

Day22-02

This is a selfie, just for the ones that do miss me 🙂
I’m waiting for Camy to get out of school, nice and relaxed while enjoying the sun!

Day22-03

After dinner it is still so good outside when it concerns the temperature.
It makes me feel so good to sit outside, just before it gets dark.
Around 08.30PM is starts to shimmer and by 09.00PM its dark.
It’s been a couple of years but I’m reading an english written book again.

Day22-04

Day 4 – July 27

This is the second day of our Cooperstown trip, part two of the induction of Hall of Fame weekend.
The event was just outside of Cooperstown where the 6 latest members of the Hall of Fame were introduced: Bobby Cox, Tony LaRussa, Joe Torre,  Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and Frank Thomas.
With us, again some 45.000 avid baseball fans were on hand to listen to all the speeches that were given. With the speech of Frank Thomas standing out.
