Day 153 – December 23

We started the day by diving into the heated pool and had a little fun with the six of us. After we were all done and had enough of the pool we drove to Orlando. We went to see a storage wars auction, just like the ones on tv.

The first couple of boxes did not sell for more than $25.00 a piece. There were about 30 people who participated in the auctions and some of them found it funny that we came over all the way from Holland to witness the auction. We told them about Barry, Jarrod and Brandi and that we wanted to see this in real life. We had already seen an auction some two years ago in Kissimmee but our parents had never seen it before so we took them to it.

We backed up, after we had seen the inside of the box of course, so the experts were able to get into a bidding war. The highest bid was around $250.00. Some boxes were filled to the top others only had a couple of chairs in it.

We had dinner at Chili’s later that night.

Day 66 – September 27

Time to start painting. First we’ll do the downstairs WC. First we taped everything so all will be good to paint.

day66-03

After that it was time to see the hairdresser at the “Hair Cuttery”.
And this is us when we are all done, don’t we look good?

In the meantime Bram has started on one of the bathrooms upstairs. Here too nothing had been done since they build it. Now it is nice and fresh and all colored to what we like, light blue.

day66-06

After all that hard labour we were hungry. We decided to go to Chili’s, a restaurant right around the corner. We started with a starter, chips and dip and at no charge, do we love those coupons!

When you are done eating and its time to go, no need to wait for a server to take your payment, just use the iPad on your table. Just swipe your card whenever you are ready to go, absolutely great!
