Day 124 – November 24

We did not do any grocery shopping this weekend because we had a lazy weekend. Because of this we also ran out of breakfast and treated ourselves for an IHOP. We shared a French toast with strawberries, banana and whipped cream as well as bacon and eggs.

Oh, this was just superb!

day124-04 day124-05

We have seen different places that sell Christmas trees already so today we stopped and walked in, just to see and smell them. It felt a little strange since it just does not feel like Christmas at all. We still walk around in our shorts and that just does not match the feeling of Christmas.

Day 122 – November 22

Hey it is weekend again, isn’t it wonderful to not being woken up by an alarm clock. Unfortunately it was not the sun either, today we did not see to much of it. It is a grey the entire day with some drizzle as well. The temperature was not too bad so we opened the sliding door.

Bram was not feeling too well today, so after breakfast he went straight to bed again.

Camy and I wore our pj’s all day long, we decided not to leave the house anyway.

Camy did some homework, I did some laundry and we cleaned up some.

For lunch I made a delicious bowl of salad.
And Bram is feeling kind of better again!

Day 95 – October 26

One more day and the weekend is over, so we better enjoy it.
We took it easy today and just enjoyed the day. We saw this 4 inch grasshopper.

We did however want to drive around a little, so we decided to go over to Providence, a new neighborhood which also has a golf course.

day-02 day-03

This is a public golf course so everybody is able to play some golf here, maybe we’ll do so now we know. At least we stopped by and have seen what it looks like.

The golf course has been built in a brand new neighborhood as a matter of fact they are still building. We also stopped by at some houses that were still being build, good to see how they do this.

day-04

We also stopped at Dollar General. Camy bought an over sized can of Mountain Dew, we do not sell those in Holland.

day-05 day-06

Later that day I chatted some with my next door neighbor in Holland. She sat on the couch, long pants and socks and I was out by the pool in shorts getting a tan. What a difference!

Day 94 – October 25

Still weekend, I love it. Enjoyed the sun a little and still taking it easy.
I’m feeling better but not on top of the world yet.

day94-02

I did some craft work today because that’s what I missed the last couple of weeks. So I made a banner.

In the evening we had to make a stop at CVS to do some grocery. First time back at the store, funny feeling, but it felt good. It is still a little strange, just to be around all these people again. All went well and Camy was glad to do some shopping as well after all that happened.

Day 52 – September 13

Weekend again, it always feels good to relax in and around the Villa. First thing we do today is read a little while enjoying the sun.

Day52-01

Day52-02

Bram sprayed the outside of the Villa to keep all the bugs and insects out. It is mainly ants that bug us but that is because they are fire ants and bite. When bitten it itches and hurts and takes a while before it is heeled.

Day52-03

Camy enjoyed the pool, see her sit on her seahorse.

Day52-04

I bought those 8 Mason jars, the lids are either squared or dotted.

Day52-05

At about 08.00PM we received an app from my neighbor back home.
The alarm of the car went off and was annoying. Biggest question, how to stop this? They finally found the battery so they disconnected the wires and now it was nice and quiet again, everybody …. get back to bed.

Day 45 – September 6

OH finally, weekend! No alarm clock at 06.00AM! Waking up whenever you feel like!

After a delicious breakfast we jumped into the pool!
We cleaned the baseline at the same time, we need to take care of this every couple of months. When we do not do this it gets all dirty. And when being honest, is it really that hard to do with this kind over weather?

Later in the afternoon we went to visit some Dutch friends, they live only 15 minutes from us. Frank and Margret have lived here for some 10 years and they are our property managers. When there are certain issues we can always ask them because with more than 10 years of experience they have seen it before. They invited us to their home and enjoy the BBQ, we had a great time and the food was good!

Because I deleted my pics a little too soon there is only one larger one.
