Day 154 – December 24

What better then to start the day with a dip into the pool. It is o so good here, enjoy the moment, next week we are back into the cold!

And how about some coffee outside, fabulous! See them enjoy it!

But after relaxing for a bit it is time to get some work done, hihi, no holidays here.

So one granny worked the bed and made look like brand new again.

And of course granddad helps out, the weather and temperature are still good, maybe is does not look like that but it certainly does.

And the other granny did some painting.

At the end of the day we took off for Celebration. We were invited to chapel and attend the worship held at Celebration High. There was suppose to be some hot chocolate and a picture was to be taken.

After church we went to Steak ‘n shake for a delicious burger and fries and of course the famous milkshakes.

Day 118 – November 18

Oh, let me tell you, it is cold! We can of course not complain but going from 75F to 40F in only one day is some kind of adjustment we need to make.

We decided to treat ourselves with a warm breakfast, so we went to First Watch. This is a restaurant known for its breakfast and is only opened until 2.30PM.

We ordered a delicious Belgian Waffle.

After a couple of hours at First Watch we needed to make some room for other guests, so back into the cold…

We did not feel like shopping today so we decided to stay in the car, warm and cosy.
We put the iPad in between us and watched the movie, The Hunger Games.

At 4.00PM we picked Camy up from school and again we had to face the cold, we even wore our jeans today. When it is this cold again tomorrow I will be wearing my socks as well.

Today was the day of new carpet. For a couple of days now we have been moving everything into the garage so we would be ready for today. In the end we decided to renew the carpet in stead of a wooden floor or tiles. When we added it all up it did not make sense to not have it replaced. The carpet was placed 5 years ago and when we get 5 years out of this one we think we do the right thing and go from there.

All the heavy stuff was moved into the kitchen since that was most easiest and quickest.

This is how we placed the couch into the kitchen, it is for a couple of hours only.

Today is extremely cold, they did forecast this but it was hard to take and by the way, we are not used to this anymore. It is 09.30AM and it is 55 only. Even in Holland it is warmer than this.
