Today was the day of new carpet. For a couple of days now we have been moving everything into the garage so we would be ready for today. In the end we decided to renew the carpet in stead of a wooden floor or tiles. When we added it all up it did not make sense to not have it replaced. The carpet was placed 5 years ago and when we get 5 years out of this one we think we do the right thing and go from there.
All the heavy stuff was moved into the kitchen since that was most easiest and quickest.
This is how we placed the couch into the kitchen, it is for a couple of hours only.
Today is extremely cold, they did forecast this but it was hard to take and by the way, we are not used to this anymore. It is 09.30AM and it is 55 only. Even in Holland it is warmer than this.
Look at me, with my vest and hood and cover outside enjoying the sun. The sun was quite all right but the wind was the problem…. brrrr
When all the old carpet was taken out it was time for Bram to clean the floor.
From the stairs we kept an eye on everything they did and how they did it.
The old carpet was all taken by Home Depot so we did not have to worry about getting rid of it. Here it is waiting to be put in the van.
See here, the new carpet, it was laid in two parts that they clued together into one.
Al done, how nice and so soft, new and fresh!
Now it is time to put everything back into the living and enjoy.
