Day 28 – August 20

This is St. Lukes school bus and smiles towards me all week long.
It says; “take a picture of me, take a picture of me”, when we drop Camy off. So today it was time to do so 🙂 The school bus is used for school trips since everybody is dropped off by car. I did however see one mother ride her bike yesterday, dropping off her son.

Day28-01

When we left school this morning these birds walked by.
We know them well since they walk around in our community as well, they are Cranes.

Day28-02 Day28-03

This week we must, no we want to make a decision on what kind of flooring we are going to pick. Will it be: carpet, tiles, laminate or hard wood flooring? So we will bring another visit to Home Depot and Lowe’s.
We now have everything we need to know, now we only need to decide what best fits our budget.

Day28-04

We ordered some Japanese for lunch today, it was delicious!

Day28-05

Today, Camy brought home her first STAR!
When 5 stars are earned she is allowed to wear private clothes, no uniform. Everybody is able to earn 1 star per week when: there is no tardiness, all homework is done, behaved well at lunch.
It is like receiving an award for well behavior and it seems to work here!

Day 20 – August 12

Tringgggggg tringgggg, it the alarm clock, 06.00AM!!
We have exactly one hour to get ready, shower, dress and have breakfast.
We have to leave the house by 07.10AM or we will not make it to school in time.

Day20-01

Today is the first school day of a new school year.
First bell is at 08.15AM, second at 08.30AM and everybody needs to be in their homeroom by then.

Day20-07Teachers had pictures frames ready so you were able to take that “first day of school” picture. They had everything set up real nice with balloons. After we had taken Camy to her homeroom we headed for the Mall. We had until 01.00PM because school was out early on this first day. Normally school is out at 03.15PM.

We stopped by at K-Mart and Lowe’s afterwards. Getting some information on different floors, tiles and hardwood flooring.

Since this is kind of a holiday for us, which feels strange though, we had a coffee and pancakes at Mc Donalds.

Day20-10

At 01.00PM we picked Camy up from school and stopped on the way home to get a bagel at Einstein.

Day20-11

Once home, we got in to the pool right away.
We went through everything that was in Camy’s backpack and the first homework assignment was taken care of.
